This Cisco ASR 9000 24P10GE IVRF license enables up to 8 VRF instances per 24-port 10GE line card for basic L3VPN and network segmentation. For enterprises and service providers deploying 24-port 10GE line cards with moderate multi-tenancy requirements who want a lower-cost alternative to the full Advanced IP license, this 24-port 10GE infrastructure VRF license provides the per-line-card VRF entry tier.

Also referenced as A9K-24P10G-IVRF= or L-A9K-24P10G-IVRF, this Cisco ASR 9000 24-port 10GE IVRF e-delivery license is a traditional Right-to-Use (RTU) per-line-card license. Enables: up to 8 VRF instances for L3VPN segmentation on the 24-port 10GE line card (240 Gbps aggregate). The license follows a consumption-based model — it is consumed when two or more interfaces/sub-interfaces in separate VRFs are configured on the same slot with at least one physical interface per VRF. Virtual interfaces (management, bundle, BVI) in multiple VRFs do not trigger consumption. Mutually exclusive with A9K-24P10G-AIP-SE or A9K-24P10G-AIP-TR on the same line card — AIP provides unlimited VRFs and supersedes IVRF. For more than 8 VRFs, upgrade to the A9K-24P10G-AIP-SE Advanced IP license.
