The L-FL-ASR1-IPSEC is the Cisco ASR 1000 Series IPsec VPN Right-to-Use (RTU) Feature License — the essential crypto unlock for enabling hardware-accelerated IPsec VPN on the Cisco ASR 1000 Series Aggregation Services Routers. This Cisco ASR 1000 IPsec license activates AES-128, AES-256, and 3DES encryption along with support for DMVPN, Easy VPN, and site-to-site VPN tunnels with up to 5,000 concurrent tunnels. The ASR 1000 IPsec RTU license is an on/off feature unlock — actual IPsec throughput is determined by your installed Embedded Services Processor (ESP), scaling from 2.5 Gbps up to 20+ Gbps depending on the ESP module.

Compatible Platform

The FLASR1-IPSEC-RTU IPsec feature license is compatible with the Cisco ASR 1000 Series router family: ASR 1001, ASR 1001-X, ASR 1002, ASR 1002-F, ASR 1002-X, ASR 1004, ASR 1006, and ASR 1013. Requires Cisco IOS XE 16.6 or later and a technology package license (SLASR1-AIS or SLASR1-AES — both already include IPsec; this license is needed when using IP Base SLASR1-IPB). Not applicable for ASR 1000-HX Series which uses separate crypto throughput licenses (FLSA1-1HXIPS8G etc.). IPsec throughput is determined by the installed ESP — verify your ESP model for expected crypto performance.

To generate your license file, please send the output of show license udi from your Cisco ASR 1000 Series router to support@switchlicense.com, or leave a message online after placing your order. The license file is tied to your specific device UDI and cannot be transferred to another unit.
